Safe Host has developed a UNIX-based proprietary system for monitoring the entire Safe Host data centre, the communications infrastructure and customers' servers. The system is extremely flexible and monitors such items as building management parameter faults, temperature and humidity levels, availability of machines on the IP network and availability of services such as web, mail, time-server or DNS. By logging on to the InsideEyes™ secure Extranet, customers can view details of their communications infrastructure, temperature and humidity levels, IP network availability.

All hosted customers have access to the environmental parameters and bandwidth usage in real-time such as live status of bandwidth usage.

BIC - Building Information Centre

Safe Host has developed its own inventory system, based around a central database. This system documents the configuration of the building, location, history and interdependencies of various elements such as panels, chillers, electrical distribution etc.

The system manages maintenance procedures, and informs staff when regular maintenance is necessary.

Linked to the alarm system, events can be associated with elements of the building and an Event Log is built-up for each element. The system ensures availability by efficient fault-diagnosis and reduced troubleshooting windows.
